30 May 2024 | Aircraft investment specialist Stratos recently sold an A330, continuing a deal flow involving 12 widebodies to various buyers and lessees over the past year.
A330-300 MSN1348 was sold to National Airlines, a US carrier based in Orlando, Florida operating on-demand cargo and passenger charter services. The aircraft was originally operated by Thai International and returned to the lenders following the airlines restructuring process during Covid. Stratos acquired the aircraft speculatively off lease on behalf of an investor and managed a considerable MRO project before delivery to National Airlines.
Cian O Shea, Marketing Director at Stratos said: “We are delighted to have worked with and delivered this aircraft to National Airlines as a new customer of Stratos. It is a culmination of the excellent work between our commercial and technical teams under challenging conditions”.
Christopher Alf, Chairman of National Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the latest addition of A330-300 aircraft to the passenger fleet. He stated: “As part of our recent fleet modernization and expansion plan, we are delighted to welcome another Airbus 330 aircraft into our fleet this week. At National Airlines we always take pride in delivering highly personalized, exclusive passenger charter options to our customers. The latest aircraft addition is an encouraging response to the increase in our customer charter requests and we wish to continue providing the highest standards of performance and service to sports teams, bands cruise lines, organizations, and military. The additional seating capacity and extended flying range offered by the new aircraft help us provide improved convenience and selections to our customers. We would like to share our greatest appreciation to the Stratos team for successfully collaborating with us in the latest A330-300 aircraft buying process”.
