07 November 2019 |  JOL Air-2019-01 won the Asia Pacific Overall Deal of the Year Award at the 6th Airline Economics Aviation 100 Asia Pacific Awards in Hong Kong. For its inaugural securitisation, Stratos arranged the acquisition and novation of the aircraft, the debt bridge funding, the warehouse loan, the ABS issuance and acts as servicer.

JP Lease underwrote the equity and sponsored the deal which is the first time JOL investors have been introduced to a cross collateralised pool of aircraft. The deal combines what are arguably the two most efficient forms of capital in the market these days– i.e. securitised debt and JOL equity. Several key members of the Stratos ABS team received the award along with Drew Fine, partner at Milbank who advised the issuer
